In the recent years, Kenya has experienced a growing population eager to trend on the fitness path. Many people especially: the the young energetic youth, women and those on the upper social class are increasingly seen in the early morning and late afternoon, jogging on the streets sporting venues and in the gym. The rise in numbers for the desire to maintain fitness is something that has been triggered by the knowledge of its importance and also because of improved living standards.

In order for one to have  a healthy fitness exercise, several factors are put into consideration so as to avoid unexpected injuries. Several facilities are available for those who mind to keep in shape, the most common one being the gym.

Gyms generally offer exercise equipment for physical exercise that focus on building muscular or cardiovascular strength. There is a wide range of equipment that can be employed for your fitness in the gym depending on the simplicity or complicity that you prefer.  Free weights, treadmills, stationary bikes and elliptical trainers are some of the most popular gym equipment available.
It’s quite normal for gyms to provide group exercise classes  and personal training. It depends on the members liking or choice . Some modern world gyms provide yoga, self-defence classes, spa/sauna services and sports facilities; like swimming pools, basketball and tennis courts.
Gyms typically charge a membership  fee to use the equipment and facilities. The charges varies maybe on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis. It is however important if you are a beginner, to seek the help of a gym instructor, to find out what exercises are healthy for your body.
